It was found that content of more stable at high temperature 46 kDa isoform is greater in resistant varieties and sensitive varieties have increased content of thermolabile isoforms of 42 and 40 kDa. Warming leaves at 38 °C for 30 min generally reduced content rubisco activase and changed the pattern of isoforms. In resistant varieties content of 40 kDa isoform decreased dramatically and content of 42 kDa fraction increased. It is shown that stability of the photosynthetic apparatus to high temperature closely correlated negatively with 40 kDa isoform content (r = - 0,89) and positively with 46 kDa isoform content (r = 0,55). The degree of activation rubisco in wheat leaves closely positively correlated with the rate of carboxylation (r = 0,96) and the intensity of photosynthesis (r = 0,90). Study of the content and the deepoxidation state of xanthophyll cycle pigments in the leaves of drought-resistant varieties of winter wheat Podolyanka and Hurtovyna and drought-tolerance ones Zbruch and Prydniprovska have shown that on high-level lighting studied cultivars differed in content of epoxidized xanthophylls (violaxanthin and anteraxanthin) and content of deepoxided form (zeaxanthin). Less drought resistant varieties exceeded resistant varieties by 36-44 % counting in the base of chlorophyll content and therefore had a higher deepoxidation degree. Thus, fraction of absorbed light energy used in electronic transport for photosynthetic processes in drought-resistant varieties is higher, while the less resistant varieties loss more energy due to heat dissipation.
