For the determination of optimal composition of modern diesel fuel based on ethanol biodiesel and petroleum diesel mixture a three-level hierarchical structure has been built: the aim (the optimal composition of the fuel) - criteria (technical and economic parameters of comparison) - an alternative (fuel mixtures of different composition). Power and economic performance of the diesel engine on a particular type of fuel has been chosen as comparison criteria. As a result of the mathematical processing of the ratings of three experts has been found that the best is high ecological modern diesel fuel consisting of ethyl esters of rapeseed oil in an amount of 20-60% of ethanol with 5 % ethanol content and mineral diesel.
