Report on research has 177 pages of text covering one part of the research problems which highlighted 11 issues and findings and literature (284 positions). The report for 2013 shows the results of research performance scientific theme "Development of scientific basis of tourism and tourism infrastructure in the western regions of Ukraine." The object of the study was selected enterprises in tourism and tourism infrastructure in Western Ukraine. The purpose of the study - is to develop scientific bases of optimal development of tourism and quality of software services business tourism infrastructure. Methods - general (analytical, synthetic, logical, systematyzatsiynyy), auxiliary (inductive, deductive). The study was conducted on the basis of scientific methods, systematic method - to identify the major contradictions between different elements of the tourism industry; abstract-logical method - to select promising directions for improving investment support tourism sector border area; economic and statistical - analysis of the dynamics of the main indicators of tourism development; synergistic method - to identify the advantages of enterprise integration in the international tourism industry tourism industry; expert survey method - for processing and analytical evaluation of primary empirical data. Results and novelty - worked many scientific publications domestic and foreign researchers. These data make it possible to investigate the functioning of the market environment tourism industry, identify the theoretical and methodological foundations of competitiveness of the tourism product in the context of economic security, to analyze trends in the production of innovative goods used in the tourism infrastructure, to investigate the impact of information technology and science to develop tourism solve the impact of tourism on the environment, identify trends and specifics of international tourism in terms of the process of integration of Ukraine into the world economy, to study and analyze the use of functional ingredients and dietary supplements in the health food and health food products creation in eco-safe manner. The degree of implementation - serves as the basis for the development of research. The relationship is of economic, historical, geographical, technical disciplines, as well as local lore and turyzmoznavstvom. It is recommended to use the results of research in tourism, local history, ecology and economy. Areas of Application - tourism industry, service sector. Socio-economic efficiency of the implementation is to improve the quality of tourism services and the expansion of tourism enterprises of Western Ukraine. Conclusions and suggestions. Consideration of this subject will help to form highly tourist-recreational and health and medical complex in accordance with international standards, which would give an opportunity to meet the needs of both domestic and foreign tourists. Creating such a system will increase tourist flows and money that tourists spend during each trip, reducing unemployment, conservation and sustainable use of natural resources and historical and cultural potential, potential investors interested in the creation of tourism infrastructure in Western Ukraine. According to the research strategic directions of recreational tourism activities in the western region of Ukraine determined that one of the most important components of creating high-quality tourism product that can compete at the national and international markets is the presence in the Lviv region high recreational and tourism potential. Recreational Resources include spa region, forest, climate, historical and cultural values and geographical landscape. The most valuable type of recreational resources of the region are of mineral water. The region has a large number of unique tourist attractions and natural protected areas. Promising for use in the field of recreation Tourism is a large number of historical and architectural and cultural monuments. Available in the museum complex, castle buildings, wooden churches of the region and much more can be successfully used for organizing mass spectacle for the purpose of attracting tourists. The results of monitoring concluded that Lviv region is among the five most attractive and popular tourist and recreation areas Ukraine. The research found that one of the strategic directions of economic development of Lviv region is tourism and recreation industry. To ensure the development of this area should consolidate efforts of local authorities, health centers and tourist enterprises and other organizations interested in creating a legal and organizational conditions for intensive development of tourist - recreational areas. Establishing strategic directions of its development and its implementation should contribute to the transformation of areas of recreation and tourism in the priority area of the regional economy.
