Preparatory works for a broad range of field, experimental studies and mathematical modeling were conducted to assess natural groundwater resources for basic aquifers. There was conducted regional assessment of depression morphosculptures containing FFMZ, their typology and preliminary zoning of area within Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. The problem of ZBFM influence on groundwater resources estimation was studied. Using the depression as an example, the ZBFM structure was characterized. Selection of object for investigation was substantiated.
