The subject of this study is the role and place of Ukraine in the implementation and realization of economic, political aspects , safety and other aspects of the integration on the regional (European) and global levels. During the work on scientific research results are as follows: the analysis of the nature and characteristics of modern European integration and globalization processes was done; the origins and characteristics of the expansion, the nature and mechanisms of the European Union were studied; the roles of safety and political components in the development of modern European integration are defined; the selection features of the participation of Central and Eastern Europe in modern European integration processes and structures are refined; the study and evaluation of the current state of relations between Ukraine and their prospects with the European Union are performed; the juridical and political framework for cooperation of Ukraine and the European Union is analyzed ; the prediction of major trends of Ukraine's development in different modes of integration processes is updated; the political and georgrafical factors of development of integration ties between Ukraine and the European Union are identified; the strategic directions for the development of regional policy in Ukraine based on the experience of the European Union are substantiated.
