The necessity of taking into account the optical power of the cornea during choosing a incision localization in cataract surgery was established. Multimodal combined anesthesia was proposed. Preoperative examination revealed changes of morphometric characteristics of corneal endothelial cells with age. Quantitative and qualitative age relative changes of corneal endothelial cells were revealed after the phacoemulsification. Degenerative changes of the cornea were revealed in glaucoma patients at the age before 60 years , which were higher than in the control group at 2.8 times. New data on the pathogenesis of keratoconus were studied, a new coefficient for the early stages of the keratoconus diagnostics and a new classification of keratoconus were proposed.
