The method of differential diagnosis of the acute orbital inflammation was worked out by determining the stage of orbital fat inflammation in accordance with quantitative densitometry, allowed objectively differentiate the stage of infiltrative and purulent stage of inflammation. The proposed method allows optimize the differential diagnostics of acute inflammation of the orbit, and hence to choose the appropriate method of patient’s treatment, depending on the type of pathology that reduces the frequency of complications from auxiliary apparatus of the eye in 28% and reduces the time of inpatient treatment in 3 days.
