The main objective of the research work - to assess the results of studies of high- selection samples wheatgrass medium that will provide 3-5 q / ha seed selection samples of wheatgrass , аgropyrum tenerum Vessey that will provide 3-4 t / ha of certified seeds . Select rooms wheatgrass breeding medium and wheatgrass , which duration will exceed the productive use control for 2-3 years. As a result of studies of middle- forms еlytrigia intermedia highlighted selection samples that exceed the carrying capacity of control to 10.5 - 17.6% for seed - 9.8 - 13.5%. Among the best forms of late- breeding samples exceed the standard of 13.3 - 14.7% forage productivity , and on seed - on 29,3-64 %. Best fodder efficiency аgropyrum tenerum Vessey in nursery competitive variety testing of samples obtained in breeding 10 , 7 and 28 . Best seed production was obtained from samples 10 and 7, which is 23.2 % and 36 % , respectively, exceeded the standard . Samples revealed the best selection of wheatgrass comb 12/4 , 13/ 11 and 13 /12, which exceeds the standard for seed and fodder production. Top economically - valuable attributes of breeding samples will be used to create a new drought-resistant varieties adapted to the severe weather conditions of the steppe zone of Ukraine.
