For the first time in Ukraine, 2 species of Gelechiidae moth have been described, Syncopacma azostrella and Stomopteryx orthogonella. Novel species of Scythris genus have been found. In the upper part of Kyiv water reservoir, 150 zooplankton species were described, 7 have been found for the first time. Regularities of adaptation and coevolution of viruses and their hosts in transformed environment have been elucidated. H-mutants are derived by alterations on number of DNA fragments. Virus infection may lead to increase of potassium, sodium, calcium and phosphorus in medicinal plants. Potato viruses M and Y induce decrease in lycopene and ?-carotene content. ZYMV, PMMV and TuMV have been found in Ukraine for the first time. We have generated cDNAs for coat protein gene of Ukrainian isolates of WMV-2, ZYMV, CMV and PMMV. We have conducted molecular and phenotypical identification of taxons having critical systematic status for algae, rare and vanishing vascular plants of Ukrainian flora, and fungi. Totally novel species of Pseudococcomyxa (Clorophyceae) has been described. We have designed method for reconstruction of ITS1 sequence and for constructing consensus structures for ITS1 and ITS2 sequences for use in solving taxonomic issues of critical plants' groups. We have proposed a concept for increasing plant tolerance towards Сd2+-induced stress by regulating nitrogen nutrition and using highly efficient symbiotic systems. We have selected highly efficient complementary pairs of nitrogen-fixating microorganisms which were recommended for agricultural use as components of bacterial preparations for inoculating seed of alfalfa and soybean in order to achieve higher yield and plant resistance. The developed system for regulating adaptive potential of plants has been successfully tested by farmers and producers in Zaporizhzhya region. Product Description popup.authors Алексієнко В.Р.
