Goal of the research - selection of the most requested Library items for their further processing and placing in open access reading rooms. Research methods - comparative method, programming and statistical analysis. Scientific newness of the research is a comprehensive approach to the selection of the most requested items by collecting and analyzing users' information requests based on their own software solutions. To this end, checkpoint system for Library users control and account was developed and established. And Library attendance statistics module was developed and implemented based on these software and hardware. Integrated library system Aleph 500 basic modules were upgraded, namely, that processes based on the circulation module were optimized and possibilities of Web OPAC module usage were expanded. Library image catalogue based on the existing information database of alphabetic card catalogue was created and original software was developed. Research results were introduced into the Library work, that is, checkpoint system was installed in all Library buildings, where users service functions. Statistics module provides constant monitoring of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of users. Upgraded circulation module and Web OPAC module of Integrated library system Aleph 500 ensure selection of the most requested items for easing the access to them. Remote users are allowed to search issues that are not yet available in online catalogue and order them. Forecast assumptions concerning the development of the research objective - wider selection of future users' information requests should provide proper selection of the requested items for their further processing and placing in open access reading rooms.
