Position of the population of respectable age in Ukraine is investigated: level of their life and condition of provision of pensions, use of labor potential of elderly people and their situation on a labor market, etc. The assessment of social and demographic policy in connection with population aging is carried out, the condition of observance in Ukraine of the international norms and obligations in this area is considered, target priorities and the main directions of improvement and development of policy of adaptation of society to conditions of aging of the population in our country are defined.
