The aim of the study is development of scientific basis for processing technology of juice and lignocellulosic components of sweet sorghum which can provide economically effective fuel bioethanol production from promising domestic agricultural raw material. Methods of the study include standard methods and specific, such as microbiological, physicochemical, gas chromatographic methods , and mathematical with employment of modern equipment and computer technologies. Results and novelty. The concept of feasibility study for establishment of enterprise for processing of sweet sorghum into bioethanol was substantiated. The basis for technology of pretreatment, storage, and preserving of sugar-containing raw materials, preparation of wort and fermentation to obtain bioethanol and related products from first generation sorghum sugars was developed. The possible applications of by-products and wastes from bioethanol production obtained during processing of sweet sorghum stalks into sorghum sugar juice and technological product of its evaporation in the form of condensed syrup were identified.
