The aim of the study was to develop a methodology of remote assessment of agricultural crops on the basis of systematic use of ground-based and aerospace data. Research methods - field, laboratory, digital data processing of remote sounding of the Earth, geostatistics. The analysis of efficiency of various groups of vegetation indices based on the use of the method of analysis of hierarchies. It is established that in the period of intensive accumulation of above-ground biomass of the vegetation index NDVI and PVI1 differed significantly from GRVI and most fully characterized the condition of crops. During the period of ripening grain GRVI showed high efficiency in the assessment of crop conditions in comparison with other VI. For the fullness of the crop condition assessment for the three periods of the significant difference in relation to the NDVI had PVI1 and GRVI.
