The research goals are to develop mathematical models of space systems, to evaluate and to modify methods of the assessment of the efficiency of space projects, to improve the techniques of comparison of multi-criterion alternatives, to analyze the world's trends of space activities. The research methods: systems analysis, mathematical modeling, numerical methods, optimization methods, multidimensional statistical analysis, information and analytical methods. The results obtained: A complex problem of the selection of the form and optimization of project parameters of cruise solid-propellant rocket engines is formulated. Elements of a mathematical model and generalized algorithms for determination of intraballistic, thrust and flow-rate performance of cruise solid - propellant rocket engines are developed; A qualitative criterion of models in the class of systems of the autoregression equations to determine an optimal complex model, which has the least predicting error is developed. This criterion will improve the quality of modeling the products of rocket and space technology on the observed results of their function; New calculated models and environments, based on graph, in particular fractal structures as well as a concept of an intelligence environment, based on the swarm of virtual satellites, are developed. The models developed allow the creation of advanced control systems for space applications, based on composition of functional systems of the radicals-environment type; An economical and mathematical model for calculating the expected expenses for realizing the prototypes of a new rocket and space technology, which allows the assessment of the nominal expected expenses for design working at a predesign stage as well as the degree of a possible increase in the expenses caused by the novelty of the technology and the uncertainty of a retrospective and predicted information is developed; A mathematical model of launching a rocket is developed on the basis of the launch vehicle motion during the first seconds of a vertical portion of the flight. The model allows construction of the error-value regions during the installation of a launch vehicle for launching wherein the launch vehicle take-off will be free of impacts; The world's trends of space activities, space transportation systems (including rocket propulsion), space communications and Earth remote observation are analyzed. The volume of the world's production of honeycomb fillers in manufacturing the launch vehicles is refined; The problem of comparison of the research projects are studied under conditions of multi-criterion, the disadvantages are revealed and algorithms of agreed and independent scaling are improved, a unified method for building an additive function of value for ranging alternatives in the space of qualitative and quantitative criteria is studied.
