Purpose of the research is to establish the possibility of the electrodischarge action to increase the intensity of desulfuration and oxidizing of titanium sulfate concentrates, and also desalination of valuable components from the titanium production wastes. The modes and parameters of the electrodischarge disintegration of the initial raw materials and concentrates of the titanium production providing the necessary fracturing size (less than 1 mm) and more than 2.5-fold reduction of harmful mixes of sulfur and chloride. It is shown that depending on specific energy input the intensity of chemical reactions increases due to activation of the discharge medium when the рН drops to 3.0. Maximum index of the fracturing degree and activation of titanium concentrates is established by the electrical discharges with energy 1.25 kJ and frequency 4 Hz. In the experimental research the industrial prototypes produced by PJSC "Krymskiy TITAN" were used. The realized research showed that the use of the electrical discharge considerably decreases the energy input, excludes the part of the processes of heat treatment of the concentrate, and also they are directed at the improvement of the technology of titanium production.5481 Product Description popup.authors Голень Ю.В.
