Purpose of the research is to determine physical conditions of modification and technological parameters of electrohydropulse and pulse electrical current treatment of the melt providing for the efficient action of modifiers, structure, and mechanical properties of hypereutectic silumins in accordance with the modern requirements of automobile industry. Basic regularities of the influence of the melt stressing by electrical current on the processes of dilution and absorption of modifiers, and also the thermodynamical state of the melt are studied. The influence of parameters and modes of energy and chemical modeling both separately and jointly on the change of morphology and the growth of phases in hypereutectic silumin. It is shown that fining of primary silicon and eutectic silicon to 20 µm and to 10 µm, respectively, is achieved by the complex treatment with inserted modifiers SiC, P, Ti, and B in furnaces within the temperature range from 820 to 800 °С within two minutes.
