The purpose of the study is the analysis of the experimental and theoretical research techniques for the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the pressure wave originated by the electrical discharge in a fluid. Methods of the research: mathematical and physical modelling of hydrodynamical and electrical processes; methods of mathematical statistics for data processing. The analysis of the experimental and theoretical research techniques of amplitude-frequency characteristics of the pressure waves generated by the electrical discharge in a fluid with the parametres characteristic for the processes of an electrodischarge method of decolmatation of wells is carried out. The analysis has shown that the studies are based on determination of the time profile of the pressure wave and its post-treatment. To obtain the actual time profile of the pressure pulse it is necessary to develop and produce the special test-bed providing the required parametres of a discharge circuit, modelling the conditions and the treated object, and also allowing to carry out the precise measurement of the explored parametres. Thus, the pulse pressure is measured by the piezoelectric pressure sensor. Theoretical research of amplitude-frequency characteristics of the pressure pulses generated by the electrical discharge in a fluid can be carried out by the methods of mathematical (numerical) modelling and analytical dependences.
