A purpose of work is an estimation of quality of marine environment of water area of the Azov-Black Sea basin by the methods of bioassay and bioindication of quality of marine environment using hydrobionts of different systematic levels. Research methods - bioassay and bioindication using indexes of the state of benthos organisms (algae microphytes and mussels of the Black Sea). Results of the research for bioindications and bioassay of quality of marine environment of the opened and coastal zones of the Azov-Black Sea basin obtained on the basis of physiological and morphological, systematic, quantitative and saprobiological indexes of development of mussels and to the microphytobenthos, and also comparative estimtion of the ecological state of the investigate marine aquatoriums. Actuality of the work is the use of modern integrated and economic effective methods of bioassay and bioindication of quality of marine environment for the receipt of scientific information about its ecological state and further operative acceptance of administrative decisions about application of measures on decrease of level of the anthropogenic loading on marine ecosystems of the investigated areas.
