The scientific research topic "Taras Shevchenko's Novels and Western European Literatures (Reception and Intertextual Relations)" aims at а) clarifying the genesis of Shevchenko's novels in the context of Western European literature, b) outlining a typological character of Shevchenko's prose considering inter-literary connections and relations; c) identifying and analyzing the intertextual connections of the novels with the works of English and French literature. The objective results of the research will be shown in the publications. The research will be carried out with the methodology of modern comparative studies. Expected results: publications, monograph "Taras Shevchenko's Novels and Western European Literatures (Reception and Intertextual Relations)". Sphere of use: Ukrainian studies, teaching practice, global popularization of Shevchenko as a writer. Amount: 4,5 printed pages.
