Object of study: hardware, potentially suitable for the creation of a specialized unit for measuring the spectral study of thin films of biological substances in the mid-IR range. Methods: theoretical studies, experiments. Found that the most suitable for the creation of the measuring module has options: on the basis of the quantum cascade laser (QCL) and traditional with a monochromator. Determined that in terms of system design, the most attractive option is based on the QCL. The use of this device allows the device to simplify the measuring unit by reducing the amount of complex optical and mechanical components. As an emitter proposed the use of a heating element modulator and a monochromator, with the possibility to replace it in the future on the basis of a coherent source QCL, or others, requires further research. Found that in order to reduce the impact on the measurement results of both external factors and drift parameters of the module components, layout advisable to build on the principle of a spectrophotometer: two-channel measurement scheme. In a measurement channel using reflection from the sample surface at alternating solid support (glass slide) at an angle of incidence of 70?, and in comparing the channel-reflection from the surface of clear glass. Monochromator was placed in front of the camera samples (sample was irradiated with monochromatic radiation) that the instrument was subsequently easier to modify for narrowband quantum emitter (QCL or other). To actuate the movable mechanical and optical components of the module are designed special motor control circuit, in particular a pulse width-stabilized current through the windings and the use of sensors based on the pulse current transformers. Developed kinematics module mechanical assemblies, as well as algorithms for programs for the operation of the measuring module and its interaction with the computer.
