A modified crystal-field method which allows to calculate electronic levels of metals in complexes of arbitrary symmetry was developed. Propagation features of evanescent waves in bianisotropic media, multiferroics and antiferromagnets, were investigated with the influence of uniaxial pressure and constant external electric and magnetic fields. Experimental phase diagrams of magnetic and conductive states of manganites with nonisovalent A-cation substituting by ions A = Ca2 +, Sr2 +, Ba2 +, Pb2 + were built.
