Large-sized scintillation elements have been made for carrying out the test studies. The measuring of optical and scintillation characteristics of samples that were made from large-sized crystals of YSO:Ce have been held in INP (Belarus) and CERN ( Switzerland). Оptical transmittance and light output of samples that were cut from the large-sized crystals decrease weakly before and after irradiation with protons and gamma - radiation, which indicates a high radiation resistance of crystals.
