It was found that carrier 83/6 at a concentration of 0.1% is the most efficient for genetic transformation of protoplasts of tobacco N. tabacum. This polymer indicated low cytotoxicity for protoplast combined with effective genetic transformation. Less favorable to transform protoplasts of tobacco are polymers of BG-2f, MP-1ta BG-2q types at the concentrations of 0.5 and 0.25%, because, in addition to an intense expression of the reporter gene YFP in single cells it was observed minor morphological changes - aggregation, loss of spherical plasma membrane integrity violations and structured internal contents of cells.
