They possessed 2.5-fold increase in glutathione synthesis as compared to wild-type strain under the laboratory conditions. Conditions for cultivation of strain-producer in 100 L bioreactor were optimized. The agreement between Institute of Cell Biology, NAS of Ukraine and PAE "Enzyme" (Ladyzhin, Vinnytsia region) on the processing of technology for industrial production of glutathione using constructed yeast strain was made and work under the contract were commenced. Temporary instructions on technology of glutathione production were developed. Works on scaling up the process of glutathione synthesis under industrial conditions were started.
