Socio-economic efficiency is to increase the contribution of the tourism sector in regional social development based on balancing processes of reproduction, use and development of ethnic, cultural, environmental and resource regions of Ukraine. Conclusions and suggestions. The said subject has great prospects for the development of eco-tourism as a distinct ethnic regional public sector system. Proper scientific study of ethnic, historical and cultural features, global trends motivations of tourists from mass to alternative types of tourism contribute to building a conceptual model of tourism development in Ukraine on the basis of sustainable development, scientific and methodological approaches to the assessment of the competitiveness of tourism and tourism products in the region, developing marketing strategies to improve their competitiveness in the global market environment.
