These studies showed that the level of PKD2 expression in tumor samples was much higher than in control gastric tissues and PKD2 expression correlated with the tumor stage and presence of metastases. It was found that inhibitor of protein kinases PKD families inhibits trans- and autophosphorylation of PKD1and PKD2 protein kinases and thus has not a selective inhibitory effect against these kinases.
