A working laboratory facility for transformation of significant amounts of weakly magnetic iron minerals into strongly magnetic minerals by reducing with of carbohydrates of biomass (rotating furnace) was created. the device for exspress measurement of the magnetization of magnetic materials and ores was created. Using created facilities and devices it was shown that the optimal concentration of reductant (biomass) for transformation of hematite into magnetite at T = 650°C is about 2%. It was shown that the reaction of transformation of goethite and hematite into magnetite starts at ~ 420 ° C. The novelty of these results is that the conversion process does not require high temperatures and large amounts of reductants.
