The aim of the research is to develop theoretical and methodological bases of formation of the strategy of development of the industrial enterprises in the conditions of the competitive environment taking into account social and economic aspects of their activity. During the research we used a systematic and comprehensive approach. The methods of the research: statistical, analytical, economic-mathematical methods, method of comparative advantages, methods of tabular and graphic modeling, strategic analysis, etc. In the course of the research: the place and the role of innovative strategy in enterprise activity was defined; theoretical approaches to formation of innovative strategy of development of the enterprise were investigated; the main aspects of management were investigated by the competitive potential of the enterprise; the characteristics of strategic development of the competitive potential was identified; the approaches to creation of the mechanism of providing and maintenance of social safety of the industrial enterprises were disclosed; the system of diagnostics, the prevention and bankruptcy prevention in crisis conditions of development of economy was developed. The result of research is the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of strategic development of industrial enterprises in a competitive environment with regard to the social and economic aspects of their activities.
