The results are used for interpretation the experimental data for the Ni-Mn-Ga alloy. the The phenomenon of a sharp decrease of the elastic modules of the alloy at the approach to the martensitic phase transitions was theoretically explained. It is shown that in this case a nonuniform magnetostriction performs the main influence on the elastic properties of the material. A theoretical estimation of the effect of a uniform magnetostriction on the elastic modules of alloys with shape memory effect was performed. The obtained results explain the experimental temperature dependence of the elastic Young's modulus of the Ni-Mn-Ga alloy at the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transformation.
