The microstructure and technological properties of the powders for spraying have been studied. Each particle of powders is a conglomerate and consists from refractory and metal compounds. The coatings of the developed composite powders have been deposited on structural steel by detonation method. The influence of metal and refractory phases ratio in composite powder on composition, structure, as well as, mechanical properties of the coatings have been studied. Tribotechnical properties of the coatings under dry friction-sliding condition and abrasion wear have been studied. The high-temperature oxidation behavior of coatings has been investigated. The oxidation rate constants and energy of activation in the 800-1000°C temperature range have been calculated.
