The statement of the problem taking into account a surface tension is presented and the interaction of surface gravity waves with a system of two coaxial circular cylinders is investigated analytically, when the outer cylinder is perforated and the inner is impermeable. It is shown that wave loads on the main (internal) cylinder are reduced. A comparative analysis of the theoretical calculations with experimental data is carried out. The results of experimental studies of the interaction of solitary waves with steep coastal slopes and wind waves with bottom peaks as horizontal circular cylinders arranged on the surface of underwater dike are presented. It is shown that a wave suppression increases. Analytical solutions for the generation of surface gravity waves with the forward motion of an ellipsoid immersed under the free surface are constructed and analyzed. The wave drag as a function of the wave number is analyzed. The problem for the elliptic wing with a finite deviation of a fore part is investigated numerically. Regimes of reducing wave drag are shown. The problem of transformation of surface gravity waves in the coastal zone in the presence of underwater groynes, which are located on the surface of local inhomogeneities suppressing the waves is considered. Supercavitating flows when moving elongated bodies near the free surface of the water are considered. The possibility of increasing the speed of the body is shown. The problem of the joint action of surface gravity waves and currents on circular cylindrical obstacles large dimensions is considered. It is shown that the presence of oncoming flow leads to a shift of the maxima of wave loads and their increasing.
