For this purpose was developed an effective method of the numerical solution of two-dimensional problems of free vibrations in the shells of the specified class in the classical (Kirchhoff-Love) and refined (Timoshenko-Mindlin) theories, was devised an algorithm, which is implemented on a PC as a software package. Based on the developed analytical approach were obtained the solutions of a number of problems and analysis of the spectra of frequencies and forms of free vibrations of a rectangular shallow shells of variable thickness with the different geometrical and mechanical characteristics. There was designed and developed the holographic interferometry system for registering information on the forms of free vibrations of plates and shallow shells of the specified class on real-time and automatic processing of it. With the help of the developed software and hardware complex were carried out series of experiments, with the result of which were developed the interference patterns of natural modes of shell structures and were analyzed their own frequencies.
