The subject of the research is new industrialization as a system of economic relations, which is influenced by increased competition in the sphere of material production on a global scale. The project aimed at solving the fundamental problem of the general theoretical definition of objective economic substance and direction of change in the sphere of material production, of different economic systems countries. The purpose of the work. On the basis of clarifying the driving forces of the economic mechanism and the implementation of new industrialization in different economic systems, to explore the possibilities and conditions for its realization in Ukraine, taking into account the level of economic development, institutional features and cultural and historical heritage of our country. Research methods. Research carried out on the basis of genetic method. Stadial applied approach, scientific and special methods of economic-theoretical study used theoretical and methodological tools of classical political economy, institutionalism and neo-institutionalism, Keynesianism, the historical school. During the development of the project the essence, stages, driving forces and mechanisms of implementation of the new industrialization in different economic systems are defined; the specificity of the primary economic unit in the new industrialization, which requires a combination of science and industry is determined, as well as the economic mechanism of this association is determined; the scale of investment needed to improve the industrial level of production and, on this basis, taking into account the effect of the multiplier and accelerator is determined, the rate of accumulation, its structure and the relationship between the production of capital goods and intermediate goods demand are determined; specificity and the effects of competition under the influence of new industrialization in the real sector, financial and between them is determined. Practical implementation of the study was to develop proposals for economic policy aimed at ensuring conditions for new industrialization in Ukraine, as well as the national strategy for new industrialization based on the level of economic development, institutional features and cultural and historical heritage of Ukraine. The main provisions of the work are used by regional governments in the elaboration of the "Strategy of economic and social development of Odessa Region until 2015", "Strategy of economic and social development of Odessa Region until 2020", "Strategy of economic and social development of the city of Odessa to 2022". Results of the study were discussed with the teaching staff of higher educational institutions of Ukraine and foreign countries, with scientists of research institutes of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Russian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, with the specialists of local governments. Results of the study were tested at 19 scientific conferences.
