In modern terms other than the typical risks of any functioning market system also arise risks caused by various crisis phenomena, instability of economic and political development, significant inflation rates, lack of a clear legal basis and frequent changes in it, low economic culture. In such circumstances, entities must be able to assess the degree of possible risk exposure and to manage them in order to reduce them. Entrepreneurs need knowledge of risk theory and its practical application, timely consideration of risk factors when making important management decisions, a qualified organization of processes of risk assessment and risk reduction aimed at the rapid adaptation of the company to unstable and quickly changing conditions of the external and internal environment of its operation. All this determines the need for an objective study of category of risk in entrepreneurial activity.
