Objective: justifying the hygienic requirements for the organization of a safe educational process with the use of modern computer equipments; developing the evidence-based ways to protect children and adolescents from the electromagnetic radiation produced by information and communication technologies (computers, Wi -Fi devices) used in schools. Research Methods: hygienic, ophthalmic, psychological, physiological, sociological, mathematical and statistical. The hygienic evaluation and hygiene requirements for the safe to children's health use of the modern types of computer equipment in educational activities was given based on the full-scale experiment which included: a study of the classrooms' internal environmental factors and a study of the dynamics in main visual, cardiovascular and nervous systems indicators of school-age children under the influence of visual and motor loads. Specific features of functional changes in the schoolchildren body, depending on the the equipment's characteristics, child's gender and loading type were found during the research. For the first time, based on the ergonomic and goniometric observations along with the results of correlation and variance analysis, the quantitative values of leading indicators for schoolchildren's working posture at the portable types of computer equipment were established. It was proven that the total level of electromagnetic radiation generated by means of Wi-Fi in schools ranges from 0.3 - 3.0 V/m. The results of biological studies have shown that under influence of these levels of radiation the functional changes occur in the body of experimental animals.
