The drying process of the transformer oil with use of the thermal vacuum equipment for treatment of the cooling system of the X-ray equipment is experimentally studied. The treated oil has improved characteristics (the dielectric dissipation factor and transient electric strength) when compared to the initial data. In addition, the use of the studied transformer oil drying modes which does not imply oil-filled equipment drainage allowed for selecting the optimum mode of the least energy consumption and efficient at the same time.
