Purpose - development of heat treatment and die manufacturing tools (matrix) with adjustable austenitic transformation for hot deformation of copper alloys. Research methods - X-ray phase and high-temperature X-ray phase, metallographic analyzes investigated steel. Due to partial recrystallization steel 40H3N5M3F between critical points (A1 and A3), improving its phase-structural state and formed satisfactory mechanical properties that can facilitate machining parts. Setting the optimal annealing temperature steel allows for machining workpieces in the cast condition after electroslag remelting. Mechanically Processed details (matrix) subsequently subjected to thermal hardening and, due to the formation of martensitic structure in hardening increases their hardness. Operating temperature range of technological studied die ferritic steel with initial basis for work in the austenite state determined by the position of temperature,because heating tool during operation should ensure passage of this transformation in a subsequent prolonged use. That is, during the entire period of high operating tool to 950 ° C retained austenitic steel structure. Steel characterized as die marks 40H3N5M3F with adjustable austenitic transformation. This is in contrast to the traditional approach to the heat-alloyed steels die on ferritic base, which, on the contrary, an increase in temperature phase transitions is one of the main conditions for increasing heat resistance of experimental-industrial test matrix made of pipes diametrom 66h55 mm copper alloys NLM 5- 1 and MNZhMts 30-1-1.
