It was established that the formation of structural and phase state of near-surface hardening layers of "softened" type with nitriding, combined with heat treatment, has less impact on the fatigue strength and wear resistance of providing higher investigated alloys compared with isothermal nitriding, forming rigid type of surface hardening. Found that shows higher resistance to fretting nitrided surface with a softer near-surface hardening as a pair with the same surface and in a couple with non treated alloy and paired with steel. Recommended schemes of nitriding of two-phase VT6, VT22 and T110 titanium alloys, combining in one process cycle of forming the nitrided layer set parameters and optimal ratio of alpha and beta phases in titanium matrix, providing regulated near-surface and volumetric hardening.
