Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 A range of studies on the process of activated microplasma (AMPS) and laser-microplasma (ALMPS) spraying of the wires using nitrogen and methane gas as the active components. Using the methods of mathematical planning an experiments were conducted on Ti-coating with hardening nitride and carbide (carbonitride) phases spraying with AMPS and ALMPS methods. Investigations include the study of the structure and properties of the particles formed in the conditions of these processes, the study of the structure of deformed particles ("splat-test"), as well as the study of the morphology, structure, phase composition and mechanical characteristics of the resulting coatings. It has been shown that the coatings are characterized by high levels of adhesion strength with the substrate: in the case of nitrogen ALMPS - 18,26 ± 2,08 MPa, using methane - 25,51 ± 5,75 MPa and high microhardness (Meyer) - obtained in AMPS under nitrogen reaches 14 ... 22 GPA at a value E = 130 ... 140 GPa obtained under nitrogen ALMPS - 16 ... 35 GPa at E = 130 ... 180 GPa. Coatings with a hardening inclusions proposed for use in protection of parts of equipment in the chemical, food and medical industries. The main object for application of such coatings is an agitator blades and shafts and the filter plates, which are subjected to abrasion while exposed to corrosive media.
