Purpose - to study mechanisms for ensuring fiscal sustainability of the general government of Ukraine on the basis of in-depth research of the EU fiscal adjustment experience and taking into account the specific peculiarities of Ukraine. The measures to optimize the volume and improve the structure of public debt, harmonisation of requirements for public procurement based on EU standards and theirs importance in strengthening the sustainability of the general government in Ukraine. The degree of implementation - prepared proposals on fiscal consolidation mechanisms in order to ensure a steady state of the general government in Ukraine. Relationship with other scientific research -the study related with researches aimed at improving the efficiency of public finance management, ensure their sustainability, improvement the management of formation and use of resources of the public budget, public targeted funds and local budgets, public financial and non-financial corporations. Recommendations on the use of the scientific results - the introduction of specific mechanisms of fiscal consolidation aimed at improvement of the general government and ensure its fiscal sustainability. Field of application - scientific results have been used in the preparation of draft law regulations and policy vision documents. The significance of the scientific results and conclusions - improvement the management mechanisms of operations general government sector operations and their implementation in the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine activities.
