The work at the problem of professional communication training of future police officers is the object of this research study. The main objective of the study is to justify the need to address the socio-cultural component in students' preparation for professional and foreign language communication, to develop and to provide methodological assistance for operational units of internal affairs bodies in preparation of law enforcement officers for international law enforcement activity in countering the violation of public order, criminal activity. The purpose and objectives of the study were realized using the methods of teaching of the socio-humanitarian disciplines and foreign languages created in accordance with international standards of competence and to ensure the cadets' and students' access to the effective means of mastering the rules of communicative etiquette to be engaged in dialogue, to master the level of knowledge which is required for a qualified performance of official tasks in different fields and situations of professional activities, to exchange information, to gain a deeper understanding of the way of life and thinking of the people and the cultural heritage, more widely using of the full potential of new information technologies, to promote mutual understanding and effective international cooperation. The scientific originality of the research is the algorithm to solve basic problems, without their resolving it is impossible to ensure the searching for new organizational and methodological tools and technologies to improve the quality of training. Results of the study (guidelines) are introduced into practice MIA. In the process of research there were published 2 textbooks, 1 dictionary and 2 phrasebooks, there were published 126 scientific articles and abstracts, 5 round tables were held.
