Purpose - to test the bottom purge flow; to improve the melting of metal stock; reduce the cost of production of steel in electric arc furnaces; improve the yield and properties of steel and cast steel structure finished. Research methods and equipment - physical modeling of hydrodynamic processes in the laboratory; physical modeling of hydrodynamic processes in a particular metallurgical vessel; test purge unit in an industrial environment.
