The place and role of information technologies in the interactive teaching English writing have been substantiated. The application of such approaches as process-oriented writing, product-oriented writing, genre-based writing, social and learner-centred has been considered in interactive teaching. Forms of interactions and types of interactivity have been defined. The stylistic and linguistic peculiarities of the research paper have been analysed. The aim, content and principals have been determined. The criteria of the research paper valuation have been specified. The system of exercises for teaching future information security students the research paper writing has been worked out. The computer programm "English Research Master" has been characterized. The effectiveness of the suggested methodology has been verified and confirmed during the experimental teaching. Methodological recommendations as for its introduction have been developed.
