Using a phenomenological S-matrix model for the analysis of the angular distributions of the elastic scattering allowed to reproduce correctly refractive rainbow effects in the angular range of 5° <? <120°. Structural parameters obtained for a number of nuclei, nuclear radii are defined, dispersion of nuclear surface, refraction and absorption parameters of nuclear matter, and others.
