An aim is to develop the scientific and methodological basis for the sustainable modernization of existing RM and HP based on thermodynamic analysis of dissipative processes in the elements of their heat-technological schemes. The basic investigative technique is mathematical modeling and numerical simulation. The novelty of the project is the synthesis algorithm of thermo-economic optimization that at the stage of pre-project allows determining the best option of RM and HP modernized scheme comprehensively providing reduced costs minimum, taking into account the thermodynamic, cost parameters and exploitation conditions. Experimental tests that has been carried out on the existing objects, confirmed the adequacy of the theoretical assumptions and algorithm modernization. Applications: industrial steam compressed refrigeration machines and heat pumps.
