The purpose is to improve productivity, stability, energy-conversion efficiency, predictability and quality of diamond abrasive cutting of tools and other hard-to-machine conductive materials, including tool industry, mechanical engineering, instrument engineering and aircraft building. Methodological basis is consistently developed in NTU "KhPI" theory and practice of the method of diamond-spark grinding , based on the fundamentals of modern mechanical engineering. The main result is a system of engineering solutions, useful models, design documents, pilot samples of special modernization of universal machine tools and technology database for diamond-spark grinding of round and flat surfaces of hard-to-work materials according to advanced technologies of world's level in stability, energy-conversion efficiencyand quality of processing. Practical demand for the development is connected with manufacture of products in machining industries: mechanical engineering, automobile industry, instrument engineering, aircraft building, space industry and others. Manufacturing application of the development is implemented at the State Enterprise "Electrotyazhmash" (Kharkiv), IPMash NAS of Ukraine (Kharkiv) and NTU "KhPI".
