The intent of research - development of the dissimilar steel rotor welding technology to improve reliability and increase their useful life. Methods: we produce improvements in technology based on the use of calculated temperature data, which was obtained by the application of a new method for solving the heat problem. Results: the welded joint sample-witness features of the combined rotor manufactured by advanced technology in fatigue tests was studied; the features of its defectiveness in a long-term operation was identifsed; a new method of detecting stress in areas of the welded joints HAZ and their relationship with damageability under fatigue was proposed.
