The qualitative comparison of the data with the results for other high-temperature materials (e.g., silicon carbide and boron, silicon nitride, aluminum oxide, and carbon-carbon composites) in similar conditions shown that investigated UHTC can be attributed to the materials with the highest erosion resistance. A modular trybometr’s design was tested to establish the adequacy of the results of tribotechnical tests of ant frictional materials in the laboratory and orbital flight in a vacuum up to 10-3 Pa. The influence of tantalum, silicon and indium forming the chemical, phase and elemental composition and morphology obtained based on boron nitride small- and nano-powder’s materials and coatings was investigated. The work on the improvement of methods and a series of experiments on the thermal treatment of industrial waste samples of hard alloys of different chemical composition, geometries and dimensions were carried out; formulas for evaluating the effectiveness of treatment processes were proposed. The methods and equipment for high-temperature heating are used at Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IPMS of NASU) for the production and research of thermo -erosion barrier coatings; nanoparticles BN based materials are used at Institute for Metals Physics of NASU (Implementation Act of 28.11.2014), the results of determining the thermal conductivity of insulation cellular samples and carbon-silicon carbide materials are used at YUHNOYE Design Office named after Mikhail Yangel (Act implementation of 11/27/2014).
