Karazin popup.description2 Targets of the research — natural hemiclonal interspecies hybrids (in the case of Pelophylax esculentus complex); Pelophylax esculentus clones, that would be obtained during the research. Study objectives — obtaining and studying the vertebrates’ clonal litters by hemiclonals’ crossing; collecting the females and males clones that will reproduce in crossings. Methods: — Collection of breeders of Pelophylax esculentus complex representatives in natural habitats, their artificial crossing using hormonal stimulation under the condition of zooculture, clonal litters obtaining and growing; — Analysis of the Pelophylax esculentus complex population systems natural diversity, determining of their biocenotic and geographical causality; — Qualitative definition of population system type using composition of forms included in it; — Estimation of population systems' magnitude and composition using marking and re-capture method; — The primary determination of individuals' species based on the external morphology; — Rapid determination of individuals' ploidy using cytometry; — Comparative ecological, morphological, biochemical and physiological studies of representatives Pelophylax esculentus complex; — Individuals' genotyping using flow cytometry and protein electrophoresis; — Karyoanalysis of macerated tissues squash preparations, pipette metaphase plates and cells; — Determination of genome gametes structure using flow cytometry, protein electrophoresis, lampbrush chromosome analysis and analysis of crossings; — Simulation modelling and experiments with simulation models; statistical analysis of simulation results (using Principal Component Analysis); — Comparison of simulation results with empirical data, formalization of empirical and literature data, etc. The variety of HPS (hemiclonal population systems of frogs) from Left Bank forest-steppes of Ukraine and neighboring regions were described in the course of project; 5 sub-regions, that differ in composition of HPS, were distinguished; the features of gametogenesis and reproduction of interspecific hybrids, specific to the region of studies, were determined; the principles of green frogs HPS simulation modelling were developed and simulation models of their transformations were created; the dynamic typology of green frogs HPS consisting of diploid representatives were developed; the typology of biosystems stability conditions was proposed; the conditions of sustainable existence of natural and artificial HPS consisting of clones were determined; the hypothesis that explains the origin of hemiclonal inheritance as adaptation to homoeologous recombination was created; the artificial crossing technology and quality evaluation of males-breeders in laboratory zooculture conditions were developed; the clonal litters of green frogs were obtained.
