The research subject: resources of economic modernization. The research objective: to identify sociocultural components that can make a significant contribution into the economic modernization of Ukraine. Sociocultural factors of entrepreneurial claims in Ukraine and the dynamics of their influence over the past 10 years. Associations of emancipator values and forms of tolerance with economic development. Scientific noveltyconsists in the following. It was shown how the transition to information-network economy causes the fundamental sociocultural challenges of our time. The concept of nooindustrialization was introduced. It was proved that the relationship between social capital on the one hand and readiness to economic changes and private-market economy on the other hand depend on the type of social capital (intra group or inter group priority connections) and social status of an individual. Normative, ideological and situational-individual factors appeared to be the main sociocultural background of entrepreneurial claims. Associations of post-materialist values and tolerance with modern economic development were updated. Applied results areproposals and practical recommendations forutilization of sociocultural characteristicsas additional resources of Ukrainian economic modernization. In particular, it concerns reinforcement of a social capital consolidating effect in Ukrainian society; use of long-term orientation and uncertainty avoid ancecultural dimensions and training of low power distance and individualism dimensions; modern tolerance; ideological support of capitalism; and some practical measures within the Ukrainian education reform. The results were approved in memorandums to public authorities and at international scientific and practical conferences. They were used in four analytical memos and report materials that have been sent to a parliamentary Committee on Science and Education at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. These authorities sent back two positive comments on the results usage at their practice.
